Easy Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bites Recipe – a simple, festive candy perfect for the holidays and a great homemade gift for chocolate and caramel lovers.
I make these every holiday season and serve them on a tray alongside sugar cookies and red velvet crinkle cookies. They’re festive, addictive, and always a crowd-pleaser.

CHOCOLATE CARAMEL PRETZEL BITES
These caramel-stuffed pretzels are dipped in chocolate and finished with holiday sprinkles. They’re quick to make, look beautiful on a dessert table, and package well in mason jars for gifting. The caramel melts just enough to soften and fill the pretzel hole without overflowing—half of a caramel square is usually perfect.

HOW TO MAKE PRETZEL CANDY
For variety, dip the pretzel bites in semi-sweet or milk chocolate. You can coat the entire pretzel, dip only half, or mix and match. After dipping, add festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet for a cheerful finish. These treats are especially popular at holiday parties and make thoughtful handmade gifts.

Easy Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bites
Pin Recipe

22 mins
Ingredients
- 24 pretzels
- 12 caramel squares unwrapped, cut in half (Kraft recommended)
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate melted with 1 tsp coconut oil
- Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared sheet.
- Place half of a caramel square on top of each pretzel.
- Bake for 3 to 5 minutes, until the caramels are softened and slightly melty. The caramel should soften enough to settle into the pretzel holes but not overflow; it will spread a bit as it cools. Allow the pretzels to cool completely before dipping.
- When cooled, melt chocolate (add 1 teaspoon coconut oil to help smooth). Dip each pretzel whole or halfway, tapping gently so excess chocolate drips back into the bowl.
- Place dipped pretzels back on the lined sheet and add sprinkles while the chocolate is wet. Let cool and set completely.
- Store in an airtight container.

Notes
If your oven runs hot, bake for 4 to 5 minutes. The goal is to soften the caramel, not to fully liquefy it.
