Willamette Valley Fresh Hop Festival Guide: Beer, Brewers & Events

Do you enjoy beer, especially microbrews from Oregon—think Rogue and Ninkasi—or beers with a pronounced hop character? If so, there’s a great event this weekend you’ll want to check out.

The Willamette Valley Fresh Hop Festival at the Lane Events Center celebrates beers made with fresh hops rather than the more common dried hops. Brewers from across Oregon bring limited-release, hop-forward beers that are often expensive or hard to find, and the festival is a chance to taste many of them in one place.

Ticketing deals at the festival make sampling approachable:

  • $10 for a tasting glass and 2 drink tickets
  • $15 for a tasting glass and 7 drink tickets
  • $20 for two tasting glasses and 4 drink tickets
  • $1 for individual tastes

In addition to beer samples, the festival features local food vendors offering dishes and products made with beer, live entertainment, brewery merchandise, and educational displays about fresh-hop brewing. It’s a great outing for beer lovers and anyone curious about how fresh hops influence flavor.

I’ll publish a follow-up recap early next week for anyone who can’t make it. For those attending, enjoy the festival and see you Saturday!
